It's been a while since I've written on our blog. I've decided to try my hand at blogging again - just because. I'll be writing about a lot of stuff - some about the little one, some about crafting, some about our weight loss journey, some about cooking, some about reading. Who knows, there may actually be some vacations in our future that I can write about as well.
So the topic for today is our weight loss journey. We're working on getting out of our lazy, not working out lifestyle. We've got a 20 month old to chase after now. So today, I started a Couch to 5K program (again). The weather is finally turning nice in Arizona so I've decided to take advantage of that. The first workout was a 1.5 mile slow run (well, jog or walk if you're me). I averaged a 17:35 minute mile. Yep, I'm slow and somewhat proud of it. Not proud that I'm so slow and out of shape but proud that I finished - and I jogged the whole way! No walking breaks for me this time. It's a good starting point - I can only get better from here. Next workout is the day after tomorrow. Now I just need to figure out how to get some strength training into my schedule too.
